IIITDM Kancheepuram - Project Technical Support-III (ICMR Project) Recruitment 2026
Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kancheepuram, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, invites applications for one Project Technical Support-III post on a purely contractual basis in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, vide Advt. No. IIITDMK/PR/PTSIII/A32/2026 dated 21.10.2026. The position is co-terminus with the ICMR-funded project, initially up to 01.06.2027.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Essential: First-class postgraduate degree, including integrated PG degrees; or second-class postgraduate degree with PhD; or, for engineering candidates, a first-class four-year graduate degree.
Desirable:
- Proficiency in 3D modelling and mechanical design using SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Fusion 360 to prototype ergonomic, clinically safe medical imaging probes, and familiarity with rapid prototyping (3D printing and slicing software).
- Experience with simulation tools such as COMSOL Multiphysics or ANSYS for structural, thermal or optomechanical validation of the probe design.
- Ability to design precision mounts and enclosures for optical components (lenses, sensors, lighting), factoring in field of view and working distances.
- Working knowledge of Python libraries OpenCV, MediaPipe and Tkinter, and integration of real-time AI models with industrial machine vision cameras.
Emoluments
Rs.28,000 per month plus 30% HRA. The 30% HRA is paid only if the Institute does not provide accommodation.
