IIIT Delhi Teaching Fellow (ECE) Recruitment 2026 – 01 Post

Indira Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) invites applications for the position of Teaching Fellow (ECE) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The candidate will work as a co-instructor for undergraduate courses, taking tutorials and labs, managing teaching assistants, preparing/conducting/grading exams, assignments and projects, and providing academic support to students.

Job Purpose

Successful candidate will work as a co-instructor for undergraduate courses (normally 2 per semester), which involves taking tutorials and labs, helping students, managing teaching assistants (TAs) of the courses, preparing/conducting/grading exams, assignments, projects among other assessment components, as well as course administration.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach tutorials and manage other tutors/teaching assistants.
• Manage course-related labs and inventory required during the semester and perform experiments.
• Conduct extra classes on topics where students are facing difficulties.
• Maintain office hours to clarify course-related doubts.
• Assist professor in making learning materials, assignments, answer keys and rubric for grading.
• Assist professor in preparing exam question papers / lab exam practical questions and conducting quizzes, mid-semester exam and final exams.
• Assist professor in final semester grading, paper checking.
• Mentor and guide students in class-course projects. Assign rubric and grade progress throughout the semester.
• Conduct refresher modules for M.Tech/B.Tech students in summer.
• Provide extra technical support to weak students.
• Provide support to lab engineers for smooth conduct of course labs.
• Assist in miscellaneous activities of the department assigned from time to time.

Essential Qualification

• M.Tech degree from a reputed Institute/University in ECE / Electronics / CSE / Allied Areas.
• Good programming skills (C, Python, MATLAB etc.).
• Good academic record throughout.
• Preference: Candidates with TA experience.

Desirable Qualification

• PhD in relevant discipline.

Compensation

Candidates with more relevant experience may be offered a higher starting salary.

Terms of Appointment

• Term: One year, renewable after the first year based on performance.
• Max Duration: No extension after two years.
• Deposit: Monthly deposit of Rs. 27,500/- from salary of first two months will be kept with the institute and refunded on completion of tenure.
• The Institute gives top priority to ongoing academic activities and does not promote leaving the offered position during an ongoing semester.
