The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), a premier institution of education, training and research in the area of International Trade and Business under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Professor of Practice (on Contract) from distinguished experts who have made remarkable contributions in their professions in management and allied knowledge areas, to contribute to the efforts of the Institute in nation building and the Institute's selection process in the following fields:
- International Trade and Logistics
- Strategy (specifically experience in Global Strategy)
- Supply Chain Management
- Information Technology (IT)

| Essential Qualification & Experience | Candidates should have received education from reputed institutions with a good academic record throughout and have a minimum 15 years of professional experience. They should have a track record of exemplary professional practice while serving in leadership positions and have a well-established, evidence-based reputation for superior accomplishments in their fields. Candidate must have exemplary professional practice and may be exempted from the requirement of publications and other eligibility criteria stipulated for the recruitment of faculty members at the Professor level; however, they should possess the skills to carry out the duties and responsibilities specified below. (A formal academic qualification is not considered essential for this position.) (1) Candidate must have industrial/professional experience of at least 15 years or more at Senior Managerial level. (2) Candidate must have specialist knowledge in the domain expertise that will complement the faculties available within IIFT and be able to bring practice-oriented teaching/research frameworks into the classroom. (3) Candidate must be an Indian citizen and not more than 65 years on the date of application. |
| Contribution Expected | Teaching, Research and Development, and other Institutional Activities like: (i) involvement in the development and designing of courses and curriculum; (ii) introducing new courses and delivering lectures as per institutional policies; (iii) encouraging students in innovation and entrepreneurship projects and providing necessary mentorship; (iv) focusing on enhanced industry-academia collaborations; (v) conducting jointly with regular faculty members of the institution - workshops, seminars, special lectures and training programmes; (vi) carrying out joint research projects or consultancy services in collaboration with regular faculty members of the concerned HEI. |
