IIFT Centre for WTO Studies Consultant with PhD Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
The Centre for WTO Studies (CWS) at IIFT invites applications for one Consultant with Ph.D. on a contract basis for one year, extendable after performance review. The consultant will work on international trade, WTO matters, economic diplomacy and policy research at the CWS office in New Delhi. The pay bracket is Rs. 1,45,000 to Rs. 2,65,000 per month. The last date for application is 30 October 2026.

Eligibility
- Maximum age 50 years.
- Master's degree in Economics or related field with at least 55% marks at bachelor's and master's levels.
- Ph.D. degree.
- Minimum eight years' post-qualification experience, including at least three years in international trade or an allied field.
- Desirable: research/work in international trade, economics, economic diplomacy, international law, investment or public policy.
- Desirable: Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics; WTO agriculture negotiations, notifications, compliance review, Ministerial Conferences, TNC/General Council and WTO Public Forum experience.
- Good knowledge of MS Office; strong English communication and research skills.
Post-wise Qualification
- Consultant with Ph.D.: Master's in Economics/related field with 55%+; Ph.D.; 8 years' experience including 3 years in international trade.
Age Limit
Not more than 50 years at the time of recruitment.

Selection Process
Applications will be evaluated, and only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and interview. The written test will assess competence in international trade, economics and economic diplomacy. The Centre may shortlist candidates if the number of applications is large.
