Overview
The Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (01 post) under the ANRF-sponsored project CHESTA (Chevron-driven Hydrodynamics & Estuarine Sediment Transport and Analysis: a sediment management framework for the Hooghly tidal estuary) (Advt. No. CE 1959, dated 03.09.2026; University Project Code DRC/ANRF(4211)/CE/DR/005/26-27).

Essential Qualification
- ME / MTech in Civil, Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering, or allied discipline, with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% / 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD)

- Desirable: exposure in sediment transport / fluvial hydraulics experimental research / numerical modelling

- Maximum 32 years (relaxation: OBC-NCL +3, SC/ST/women/PwD +5)
- Initially one year, extendable on satisfactory performance up to May 2029
