Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA/IIAP), Bengaluru, an autonomous body under the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, invites eligible candidates for a Walk-in Interview on 20.08.2026 for the post of Project Engineer-I (Mechanical-QA) in connection with the India-TMT (Thirty Meter Telescope) project coordinated by the India-TMT Coordination Centre (ITCC) hosted at IIA, Bengaluru (Advt No. IIA/05/2026-27, dated 30.07.2026).

Essential Qualification
- BE/B.Tech/M.Sc in Mechanical/Production/Industrial/Aerospace Engineering with 60% marks in the aggregate or equivalent grade from a recognized university/institute under UGC or Central or State Governments.
- Desirable: Experience in quality assurance/quality control in mechanical fabrication, handling of large opto-mechanical systems, familiarity with TMT or similar large telescope projects.
Walk-in Interview Details
Walk-in Interview on 20th August 2026 at the Institute Campus, 2nd Block, Koramangala, Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru – 560034. Candidates must register their name between 09.00 AM to 10.00 AM on the date of walk-in.
