Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006 (established by the Government of Delhi vide Act 09 of 2012), Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, invites applications from Indian Nationals for project appointments under the ICMR Extra Mural Grants funded project. Appointment shall be on a temporary basis, renewable yearly based on satisfactory review or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in specialized disciplines, including Materials Science and allied fields, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and other relevant interdisciplinary areas.

Desirable experience

Candidates with strong knowledge of polymeric materials, surface modification, dental materials, additive manufacturing, polymer and materials characterization will be preferred. 3 years of relevant experience in the above-mentioned domains.

Terms and conditions (summary)

• Late and incomplete applications, or applications not submitted in the prescribed format or without a photo and signature, will not be considered.
• The position is purely on a temporary contract basis and co-terminus with the project.
• The advertised posts are tentative without commitment for their filling; recruitment will depend upon the requirement of the project and the approval of the competent authority.
• 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.
• Emoluments are project-specific and may vary according to the sanction of the funding agency; payment will depend on the availability of funds.
• The category once applied will not be allowed to be changed at a later stage.
• The cut-off date for age limit is the closing date of receipt of applications.
• Qualification and experience should be in a relevant discipline and from an institution of recognized repute; experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
• Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee selection.
• Persons already in regular time-scale service under any Government Department/Organization are not eligible to apply.
• Submission of wrong or false information shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
• Project personnel shall have no claim on a regular post in the institute; PF, pension, LTC and medical claim are not admissible.
• Continuation/extension will depend on performance evaluation by the project investigator, subject to approval of the competent authority.
• In the event of selection, the candidate must produce all original documents for verification at the time of joining, along with one set of self-attested photocopies and SC/ST/OBC/PwD certificate if applicable.
• No TA/DA will be provided for the interview. The interview will be conducted by appearing personally at the venue; there is no provision for an online interview.
