ICMR-NIHR Jodhpur - Young Professional-II (Administration) 2026

• No. NIIRNCD/C-YP/2025 (E-128114), dated 22.09.2026. ICMR-National Institute of Health Research, Jodhpur (a permanent research institute under ICMR, DHR, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare) intends to engage Young Professionals-II (YPs) purely on a temporary contract basis.

Eligibility

• Essential: Post Graduates with at least 55% marks with 03 years of post-qualification experience in administration from a recognised research organisation/institute.
• Desirable: Post-qualification administration experience at government organisations; strong writing skills in Hindi and English; experience in policy and communications (health/research sector); knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms, and computer (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Note: internship/training experience not counted.

Terms & Conditions

• Period of engagement: initial 1 year, extendable for two more years (1 year at a time) subject to requirement and satisfactory performance; maximum 3 years (1+1+1).
• No HRA. Engagement governed by ICMR guidelines for hiring Young Professionals (OM No. 16/84/2023-Admn-II/e-file-171470 dated 08-05-2026).
• No TA/DA for interview/personal discussion. Contract temporary, terminable by either side with one month notice; no claim to regularisation.
• Leave: 08 days per calendar year (pro-rata) + 02 restricted holidays; female YPs entitled to maternity leave as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act 2017 (no paternity leave). Tax deducted at source. Selected candidate must join within one week of the offer.
• Candidates already in regular Central/State Govt./Autonomous/Dept./PSU service are not eligible.

Selection Process

• If more than 30 candidates apply per post, a Written Test of 50 MCQs (1 mark each) related to the duties; final selection based on combined Written Test and Personal Interview marks. If fewer than 30 apply, selection is based on Personal Interview only.
• List of eligible candidates displayed on the Institute website; written test/interview as per call letters.
