ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Regional Research Centre, Dharwad (Under Division of Genetics), Karnataka invites applications for one (01) position of Young Professional-II (YP-II) on a purely contractual, time-bound, and non-regular basis under the Central Sector Scheme on National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS) – Maize Component (Project Code: 12-289S).

Important Instructions
- Candidates should carefully and accurately fill in the Application Proforma (Annexure-I) and Declaration Form (Annexure-II).
- Applications will be screened, and only eligible and shortlisted candidates will be informed by email regarding the date and time of the online interview.
- At the time of interview, shortlisted candidates must produce original copies of all relevant documents for verification, including: recent biodata in prescribed format, original certificates and supporting documents, a copy of the M.Sc./M.Tech thesis, and other relevant documents as specified in the proforma.
- Candidates are advised to ensure that all information provided in the application is complete and accurate.
- If a candidate is found to have submitted false, misleading, or incorrect information or claims, either during the screening process or at any subsequent stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.
Terms and Conditions
- The engagement is purely temporary and contractual and will be for one year or till completion/termination of the concerned project, whichever is earlier, unless otherwise extended as per the applicable project/funding-agency rules.
- All posts are co-terminus with the respective project. The selected candidate shall have no claim for regular appointment, absorption or continuation in ICAR/IARI after completion/termination of the project.
- Candidates must submit the duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of certificates from matriculation onwards, date-of-birth proof, degree/provisional degree certificate, NET/GATE/equivalent certificate wherever applicable, experience certificate, publications/proof wherever applicable, recent passport-size photograph and other relevant documents. Original documents will be verified at the time of interview/joining.
- Only candidates fulfilling the prescribed essential qualifications will be considered.
- Young Professionals: Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 45 years, with relaxation as per rules.
- No TA/DA or any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
- Concealment of facts, submission of false information/documents or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification/termination of candidature or engagement.
- Candidates having near or distant relatives employed in ICAR/IARI must declare the name, designation, nature of duties and relationship in the prescribed declaration (Annexure-II).
- The selected candidate must produce original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies at the time of interview/joining. Candidates currently employed must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer, wherever applicable.
- In case of any dispute, the matter shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at New Delhi.
- Selection will be made by a duly constituted Selection Committee, and the decision of the Selection Committee shall be final and binding.
- The selected candidate shall abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute, including laboratory safety, biosafety and data security norms, shall maintain confidentiality of the project data and test results handled in the laboratory, and shall have no claim over the data, material, know-how or intellectual property generated during the tenure, which shall vest with ICAR-IARI.
- Candidates are advised to visit the Institute website (www.iari.res.in) regularly for any corrigendum, addendum or change in the date, time or venue of the interview.
- Leave shall be admissible only as per the ICAR guidelines applicable to Young Professionals, on a pro-rata basis; no other leave or encashment of leave is permissible.
- The terms and conditions for appointment of the Young Professionals will be governed by the ICAR Office Memorandum F. No. Agril. Edn. Edn.-1-06/2020-A&P dated 04.12.2020 and extant guidelines.
- Any dispute arising out of this advertisement or the selection process shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.
