Full Description
Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi invites applications for two positions of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and one position of Young Professional-I (YP-I) on a purely contractual basis under the National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS) in Pigeonpea (12-289F).

Educational Qualifications
SRF (Essential): Master's degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years bachelor's degree. Those with 3 years bachelor's degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent, or a Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines as prescribed under ICAR guidelines. Desirable: Experience in molecular breeding, biotechnology and proficiency in computer applications.
YP-I (Essential): Graduation degree in Agricultural Science or Diploma in Agricultural Sciences/Life Sciences and equivalent as per ICAR rule from a recognized university. Desirable: Working knowledge of computer and MS Office, or hands-on experience in molecular markers/emasculation and pollination work.
Age Limit
SRF: Maximum 35 years (relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC). YP-I: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years as on the date of interview (relaxation of five years for SC/ST/Women and three years for OBC).
Tenure
Posts are purely temporary and contractual, initially up to 31st March 2027, extendable till termination of the project subject to satisfactory performance. The posts are co-terminus with the project.
Walk-in Interview
Walk-in interview will be held on 22/09/2026 at 10:00 A.M. onwards in the Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi – 110012. Candidates are required to bring the duly filled and signed application form along with original copies of educational and other relevant documents and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification.
