ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit, L.B.S. Building, Pusa, New Delhi invites applications from Indian nationals for contractual posts of Senior Research Fellows (SRF): 2 Posts under the following externally funded projects:

1. "Integrating Weather and Remote Sensing Data for Developing Geo-Spatial Forewarning Models for Crop Pests and Diseases" under SUFALAM Phase II, funded by SAC, Ahmedabad.
2. "Kisan Sarathi 2.0: Enhancement, Operation, Maintenance and Support" for Crop Sciences (Domain Lead Institute), funded by ICAR & DIC, New Delhi.

Post Details

Educational Qualifications (Essential)

• B.Tech/Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences.
• Master degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Security/Information Sciences/MCA or equivalent from a recognized University. Master degree holders should have completed 4 or 5 year Bachelor degree in relevant subject. Those with 3 years Bachelor degree should have NET qualification or equivalent certificate.
• At least two years of research experience as per OM No. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD dated 13th July, 2015, OM No. Agril. Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 9th October, 2015 of the Council and OM SR/S9/Z-08/2018 of DST dated 30th January, 2019.

Desirable: Work experience in development of web-based systems, databases, AI tools, etc., and knowledge of statistical modeling.

Age Limit

Maximum 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).

Tenure

Appointment on purely temporary basis up to 31.03.2027 (likely to be extended until March 2028) or till the termination of the scheme, whichever is earlier. No claim for regular appointment under ICAR.
