IARI Research Associate, SRF and Young Professional-II Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Research Associate: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology or a relevant plant science discipline with thesis research primarily on CRISPR-Cas9 mediated gene editing, prime editing, transgenic generation and evaluation of transgenic lines.
- SRF: Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry or Life Sciences with a 4-year or 5-year bachelor's degree in first division; candidates with a 3-year bachelor's and 2-year master's must have NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF and two years of research experience; 5-year B.Tech + M.Tech degrees must show both qualifications; or Ph.D. in these disciplines.
- Young Professional-II: Master's degree in the same disciplines.
- Desirable: Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, particle gun transformation, RNA-mediated gene editing, molecular cloning, vector development and scientific writing.
