The High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla invites Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) from eligible candidates for filling up clearcut/anticipated future vacancies of the following posts on the Establishment of District Judiciary in the State of HP, as per "The Himachal Pradesh District Judiciary Staff (Recruitment, Promotion, Control, Conduct, Discipline and Other Conditions of Service) Rules, 2022" (R&P Rules, 2022). Post-wise Eligibility
1. Court Manager (Group-B) – 05 Posts
- Graduation in any stream with Masters in Business Administration from a University/Institution in India recognized by UGC.
- 3 years experience in Process Management or IT Systems Management or Human Resources Management or Financial Management.
- Desirable: good knowledge of legal affairs and Computer Applications.
- Written Test & Viva-voce as per Schedule-III Part 3 (Phase-I & II) of R&P Rules, 2022.
- Age between 25 to 35 years.
2. Clerk (Group-C) – 141 Posts (Regular 84 / Contract 57)
- Graduation from a recognized University with basic knowledge in Computers (operating computers, Windows and Linux operating systems, typing and taking printouts etc.).
- Screening Test, Written Test, Typing Test (30 WPM English / 25 WPM Hindi, Kruti Dev-10 font) & Document Verification as per Schedule-III Part 7(A) of R&P Rules, 2022.
3. Stenographer Grade-III (Group-C) – 79 Posts (Regular 48 / Contract 31)
- Graduation degree from a recognized University.
- Screening Test, then Stenography Test in English at 80 WPM (accurate transcription within 5 times the dictation time) and Typing Test at 40 WPM English / 30 WPM Hindi (Kruti Dev-10 font).
- Only 10% mistakes in transcription/typing allowed; candidates committing more than 10% mistakes declared unqualified.
4. Driver (Group-C) – 09 Posts (Regular 4 / Daily Wages 5)
- Matriculation from a recognized Board; valid LMV driving license (at least 3 years) and experience as a Driver for at least 3 years.
- Preference to candidates with good mechanical knowledge of automobiles.
- Screening Test, Proficiency Test of driving & Document Verification as per R&P Rules, 2022.
5. Process Server (Group-D) – 65 Posts (Regular 61 / Contract 1 / Daily Wages 3)
- 10+2 examination from a recognized Board.
- Screening Test, Written Test & Evaluation as per Part 10 of Schedule-III of R&P Rules, 2022.
6. Peon/Orderly/Chowkidar/Safai Karamchari etc. (Group-D) – 89 Posts (Regular 69 / Daily Wages 20)
- 10+2 examination from a recognized Board.
- Shortlisting in ratio 1:3 for Evaluation/Document Verification based on 10+2 marks (calculated out of 85 marks) + 15 marks for evaluation of documents as per Schedule-III Part-11 of R&P Rules, 2022.
- Final merit list drawn on marks obtained in educational qualification and evaluation.
- Candidates can be posted to either of the applied posts by the appointing authority in the Civil & Sessions Division.

- Candidate must be a citizen of India and possess the requisite qualification as on the last date of submission of online application.
- Candidates must have knowledge of customs and dialects of HP; Group-C/D candidates must have passed matriculation/10+2/Graduation from a school/institution situated within HP (not applicable to Bonafide Himachalis).
- Benefit of reservation for PH/persons with benchmark disabilities as per Rule 10, Part-II of R&P Rules, 2022.
- Experience and qualification reckoned as on the date of submission of online application.
- Applicants should apply once for any particular advertised post; separate applications not needed for regular, contractual and daily wages vacancies in one post.
- Initially, results against regular vacancies will be declared; thereafter other modes (Contractual and Daily Wages).
- Re-checking/re-evaluation of answer sheets is not allowed.
