High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), a premier R&D Establishment under the Defence R&D Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India at Sutarwadi, Pashan, Pune (Maharashtra) invites applications from meritorious Indian nationals for One Year Apprentice Training (Graduate Apprentice – General Stream) under the provisions of the Apprentices Act-1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992.

Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- per month. Category-wise (General/SC/ST/OBC) seat allocation as per prevalent rules.
Eligibility
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
- Educational qualification as per the above table from a recognized Board/University.
- Passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026).
- Applicants whose results are not declared as on the last date of application are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualification are NOT eligible.
- Only candidates who completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible.
- Age: Minimum age NOT less than 18 years; maximum age and relaxation as per Apprentices Act-1961, Apprentice Rules 1992 and NATS 2.0 Guidelines.
- Candidates who had apprenticeship training / are undergoing it / have 1 year or more job experience are NOT eligible.
- PwBD candidates eligible only for designated trades as per Apprenticeship Rules 1992.
Application Details
- Degree candidates must register on the NATS 2.0 portal (nats.education.gov.in) and then apply offline by filing the application form available on the DRDO website.
- Only offline applications are accepted.
- Application must reach: Kind Attention: HRD, HEMRL, Pune — The Director, HEMRL, Ministry of Defence, DRDO, Sutarwadi, Pashan, Pune – 411021.
- Last date for receipt of application: 28 August 2026.
- Incomplete/erroneous applications or applications received after the last date will be rejected.
Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting on the basis of academic merit / written test / interview / walk-in interview or combination, subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
- HEMRL reserves the right to adopt its own short-listing criteria.
