Hanumakonda AYUSH Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Age: 18 to 44 years as on 01.07.2026; relaxable by 5 years for SC, ST and BC candidates, by 3 years for ex-servicemen (in addition to the length of service in the armed forces) and by 10 years for disabled persons.
- Reservation: Rules of reservation in respect of community, disability and ex-servicemen shall be observed as per the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996; the rule of reservation for local candidates applies as per the Presidential Order (95% local reservation).
- Unit of appointment: AYUSH Medical Officer is Zonal cadre but selection shall be restricted to one district; Pharmacist, Psychosocial Counselor, Yoga Professional and Multi Purpose Worker are District cadre.
- Engagement: On outsourcing basis up to 31.03.2027, under the administrative control of the Director, Department of AYUSH, Telangana, Secunderabad.
Hanumakonda AYUSH Qualification / Education
- AYUSH Medical Officer (3 posts): Must possess a Degree in Ayurveda or Unani or Homoeopathy or Naturopathy system awarded by a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, or an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or any statutory Board of the State Government, after having undergone a regular course of institutional study in the respective system, both in theory and practice, for a period of not less than 4½ years in a teaching institution recognised by the university or State Government, with one year compulsory internship.
- Pharmacist (1 post): (i) Must possess any of the following qualifications - D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy or Pharma D; (ii) must be registered with the Telangana Pharmacy Council.
- Psychosocial Counselor (1 post, on call @ Rs.500 per session): Must possess a Post Graduate Degree in Master of Social Work (MSW) awarded by a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, or an institution recognised by the University Grants Commission.
- Yoga Professional (1 post): Must possess any of the following qualifications - (i) a Degree in the Naturopathy system awarded by a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, or an institution recognised by the UGC or any statutory Board of the State Government, after regular institutional study of not less than 4½ years with one year compulsory internship; or (ii) a Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences awarded by a University or an institution recognised by the UGC or any statutory Board of the State Government.
- Multi Purpose Worker (MPW) (2 posts): Must have passed Class VII examination; must be able to ride a bicycle / motorcycle.

The Office of the District Collector & Magistrate, Hanumakonda District has invited applications, vide Ref. No. 2835/E-I/RDDW/HNK/2026 dated 16.10.2026, for 8 posts in 5 categories of the National AYUSH Mission, to carry out AYUSH Public Health Programmes in Hanumakonda District on outsourcing basis up to 31.03.2027, under the administrative control of the Director, Department of AYUSH, Telangana, Secunderabad, through the District Selection Committee.
Government vide G.O.Rt.No.1508, Fin (HRM.VII) Dept., Dt: 21.08.2026 granted permission for 333 services (38 on contract and 295 on outsourcing basis). The Director, Department of AYUSH, Telangana, Secunderabad requested the Collector & District Magistrate, Hanumakonda District to fill up only 8 posts in 5 categories under the AYUSH Public Health Programmes.

Age Limit

Selection Process
- Recruitment by the District Selection Committee of the District Health Society; total marks 100.
- 90 marks based on the qualifying examination for AYUSH Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Psychosocial Counselor and Yoga Professional; for Multi Purpose Worker, 90 marks are allotted for a written test.
- 10 marks for age (0.5 mark per completed year of age from 18 years, reckoned as on 01.07.2026, maximum 10 marks).
- The merit list is displayed on the official website; the selection list is finalised following the rule of reservation and the Presidential Order.
- For the Psychosocial Counselor, a panel of eligible candidates may be empanelled and engaged on a call basis.
