Eligibility Criteria
- Only female candidates are eligible.
- The merit list for Anganwadi Helper will be prepared on the basis of the minimum educational qualification of Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent, up to a maximum educational qualification of Post-Graduation.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the respective Gram Sabha / Ward (Urban). If an eligible candidate of the specified category is not available in the Gram Sabha, the applicant must be a permanent resident of the concerned Nyaya Panchayat.
Age Limit
- Minimum 18 years; Maximum 35 years.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on a merit list.
- Priority, in order, is given to widowed / divorced / abandoned women below the poverty line (BPL) of the same Gram Sabha / Ward (Urban area).
- If such a candidate is not available, preference goes to women belonging to BPL families of the same Gram Sabha/Ward.
- Two women from the same family will not be appointed as Anganwadi Worker and Helper at the same Anganwadi Centre.
