The High Court of Gujarat, Sola, Ahmedabad invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up 65 vacancies for the post of Legal Assistant on a purely contractual basis. Advt. No. RC/B/1320/2026 (LA).

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Not more than 26 years as on 20/07/2026
• Education: Fresh Graduates in Law with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from any UGC recognized University in India
• Final Year Students: Candidates studying in Final Year of 5-year integrated LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. may also apply, subject to passing with requisite marks before appointment
• Computer Knowledge: Basic Knowledge of Computer Application/Operation required
• Language: Acquaintance of Gujarati language required

[A] Written Test (Objective Type – MCQs) – 100 Marks

• 100 MCQs, 2 hours duration, OMR Based
• Negative Marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong/multiple answer
• Language: English
• Minimum 50% marks required for Viva-voce eligibility

Important Instructions

• Candidates born after 20/07/2008 are not eligible
• No reservation policy applicable (contractual appointments)
• Existing Legal Assistants holding 11+ months appointment from earlier recruitment are NOT eligible
• Full-time assignment – no practice or outside employment allowed
• 11 days casual leave per year; no other leave except during Court Vacations
• No right of employment under High Court or State Government
