The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar has invited online applications from eligible candidates for filling up 2 posts of Assistant Engineer (Electrical), Group‑3 under the Gujarat Maritime Board, Department of Ports and Shipping, Gandhinagar. Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen or qualify under Rule 7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
li>Age Limit: Not below 18 years and not above 33 years as on 15 August 2026. Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per Government rules.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering obtained from the Technical Examination Board Gujarat or any University established/incorporated under Central or State Act; OR
  • Equivalent qualification recognised by the Government; OR
  • Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (equivalent).
• Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Age Relaxation

Salary & Pay Scale

• Initial Fixation: Rs. 49,600/- per month for first five years.
• After 5 Years: On satisfactory completion, promotion to Level‑7 (Rs. 39,900‑/‑ Rs. 1,26,600/-) subject to conditions.
• All other allowances as admissible to Gujarat State Government employees from time to time.

Selection Process

The selection will be made through a single‑stage Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) examination consisting of two parts:

• Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 40% in Part‑A and 40% in Part‑B for all categories.
• Provisional answer key will be published followed by objections and final answer key.

Application Fee

Fee is payable online through OJAS portal using Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI or Wallet. Last date for fee payment is 18 August 2026 (11:59 P.M.). No late fee will be accepted after the deadline.

2. Click on “Apply” and select “GSSSB”.
3. Find Advertisement No. 453/2026‑27 and click “More Details” then “Apply now”.
4. Fill personal details, educational qualifications and upload photograph & signature (as per specified format).
5. Pay the prescribed fee online.
6. After payment, click “Confirm Application” to generate Confirmation Number.
7. Print the Application Form for future reference.

• Any discrepancy between application details and original documents may lead to rejection.
