Educational Qualification & Eligibility
- BDS Degree from a recognized University/Institute.
- Delhi Dental Council (DDC) Registration: registered with DDC at the time of submission of application, OR applied for DDC registration, OR holding valid inter-state/intra-state registration with any State Dental Council (registration to be transferred to DDC under Section 46A of the Dentists Act, 1948 once job is offered).
- Internship: candidates who completed internship before 30.09.2024 (i.e. two years from the date of interview) are not eligible.
- NEET (PG-MDS) 2026: candidates who have qualified/appeared NEET (PG-MDS) 2026 will be called for interview.
- Citizenship: Indian citizen.

Selection Process
- Final selection based on a weightage of 50% NEET (PG-MDS) 2026 rank and 50% interview performance.
- Selection on merit basis of the recruitment process; no TA/DA will be paid.
Application Fee
- Rs. 500/- in the form of Bank Draft (in original) drawn in favour of "PAO-VIII, GNCT of Delhi" payable at New Delhi (issued by Delhi bank branches) for UR & OBC candidates.
- SC/ST/PwD/EWS candidates are exempted from the application fee.
- Fee will not be refunded in any circumstances.
Tenure
Initial appointment is for 89 days, extendable by a further 89 days (with one day break) on written request duly recommended by the concerned HOD. Maximum tenure of Junior Resident post is 01 year, including the previous tenure served in any Govt. Hospital/institute/organization.
