Overview

Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar invites online applications under a Special Recruitment Drive for Divyang (PwD) candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Staff Nurse, Class-3 under the Health and Family Welfare Department (office of the Director, Employees' State Insurance Scheme - ESIC). Advertisement No. 462/202627. Total 11 vacancies, reserved exclusively for Divyang (PwD) candidates. Online applications from 15-10-2026 (14:00 hrs) to 29-10-2026 (23:59 hrs).

Vacancy Table (Disability-wise)

All 11 posts are reserved for Divyang candidates. No separate reservation has been kept for women or ex-servicemen in this drive; a selected Divyang candidate will be adjusted against the vacancy of the category (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/General) declared by him/her in the application.

Eligibility

• Only candidates with the specified benchmark disability (Divyang) are eligible.
• Indian citizen.
• Age (as on 29-10-2026): minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years; age relaxation for PwD candidates - General category physically disabled male +10 years, General category female +15 years, reserved category male +15 years, reserved category female +20 years. In all cases the maximum age limit shall not exceed 45 years.

Qualification

• B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a university established or incorporated in India and recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council; OR
• Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council.
• Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Selected candidates not already registered must get registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council under the Gujarat Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act, 1968 before appointment.

Pay

For the first five years the appointment will be on a fixed salary of ₹40,800 per month; thereafter the regular pay scale of ₹29,200-92,300 (Level-5).

Examination Fee

Reserved category (Divyang candidates): ₹400, to be paid online by 01-11-2026 (23:59 hrs). The fee is not refunded, even to candidates who appear in the examination.

Complete OTR registration, select Advertisement No. 462/202627 - Staff Nurse, Class-3, fill the form, upload photograph and signature, submit it and pay the examination fee online. In the online form, the type of disability and its percentage must be declared under Personal Details to claim the benefit of Divyang reservation.
