The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board, Gandhinagar invites online applications for 131 Staff Nurse, Class-3 posts under the Director, Employees State Insurance Scheme (Health & Family Welfare Department) through competitive written examination. Apply on OJAS from 28-09-2026 (6 PM) to 12-10-2026 (11:59 PM); OTR mandatory.

- Qualification: B.Sc. (Nursing) or GNM diploma (Gujarat/Indian Nursing Council recognized) + basic computer knowledge + Gujarati/Hindi; Gujarat Nursing Council registration required before appointment.
- Age (as on 12-10-2026): 18-35 years (Gen women / reserved men +5; reserved women +10 up to 45; disabled up to 15-20 up to 45; Ex-SM service +3).
- Pay: Rs. 40,800/- fixed for first 5 years, then Level-5 Rs. 29,200-92,300 (subject to SLPs before Supreme Court).
- Fee: Rs. 500/- (General); Rs. 400/- (all others incl. women/SEBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD/Ex-SM), online only, payable by 15-10-2026.
Selection - MCQ Written Exam (200 marks)
- Paper I Nursing (100 Qs: Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical, Midwifery & Paediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health) + Paper II Gujarati (100 Qs: language, grammar, literature); 2 hours each; 1/4 negative marking; 40% qualifying in each paper; merit on combined marks + document verification.
