Govt. Polytechnic Diglipur Lab Technician (Civil) Recruitment 2026 – 01 Post | Apply by 30 June 2026
The Andaman and Nicobar Administration (Department of Higher Education) invites applications from eligible candidates for the contractual appointment of Lab Technician (Civil) at Govt. Polytechnic, Diglipur, North & Middle Andaman for a period of 11 months on a consolidated pay basis.

Eligibility Criteria (Lab Technician – Civil)
Educational Qualification: Any one of the following:
- Bachelor degree of Engineering in the respective field from a recognized university; OR
- Diploma in the respective field from a recognized educational/technical institution; OR
- Senior Secondary pass (10+2) with vocational course certificate in an appropriate trade with 3 years practical experience.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 Years.
Salary & Tenure
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 54,000/- per month. The engagement is purely on contract basis for a period of 11 months.
Selection Process
The mode of selection for the post of Lab Technician (Civil) is as under:
- Written Exam: 40 Marks
- Practical Exam: 45 Marks
- Interview: 15 Marks
Candidates must score 50% and above in the practical exam for qualifying in the merit list. Selection Committee: Secretary (Edn.), Principal (DBRAIT) and Concerned Head of Department (DBRAIT/JNRM).
The written exam (100 questions) covers: English Language, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude, General Intelligence and Basic Civil Engineering. Practical test covers CT test for cement and aggregates, MOS test on steel, PHE test for potability of water and Advanced Surveying.
