The Member, Foreigners' Tribunal No. 8, Goalpara, Assam (under District Administration, Goalpara) invites eligible candidates to attend a walk-in-interview for the post of Copyist (purely contractual post) on 10/09/2026 at the Conference Hall of Goalpara Municipality Board, Kacharighat, Goalpara, in pursuance of letter bearing Memo. No. PLB.817356/17 dated 17.07.2026 and Office Order dated 18.08.2026 bearing eCF No. PER-36/98/2026-PER-GLP/S3 from District Commissioner, Goalpara.

• Venue: Conference Hall of Goalpara Municipality Board, Goalpara, Kacharighat, Goalpara
• Reporting Time: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM on the date of interview. Candidates arriving after 12:30 PM will not be considered.
• Place of Posting: Office of the Foreigners Tribunal No. 8, Goalpara

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

• Minimum: 18 years, Maximum: 40 years
• Government norms for age relaxation will be followed.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
• Candidates must possess good command over English and Assamese language with good handwriting.
• Preference in case of scoring equal marks will be given to the candidate who shares home district/local address with this Foreigners Tribunal.
• Candidates must have their name registered in the Government Employment Exchange.
• Candidates already working in any organisation/office must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the organisation/office where they are presently working at the time of interview.
• Candidates have to produce all relevant and legally valid testimonials in original at the time of interview.

Required Testimonials (in original along with 2 sets of Photostat copies)

1. Application in the Standard Form of Application (Assam Gazette Part-IX).
2. HS or equivalent pass certificate and marksheet.
3. Certificate of Diploma in computer application.
4. Valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
5. HSLC Certificate or Admit Card / Birth Certificate as proof of age.
6. Caste Certificate for age relaxation (if applicable).
7. No Objection Certificate (if applicable).

Terms & Conditions

• A shortlist in 1:10 (post:person) ratio based on personal interview will be prepared and notified on the next date of interview in the website of Goalpara District Administration for technical test.
• Final result will be notified on the website of Goalpara District Administration.
• The post is purely temporary in nature and for fixed time, subject to approval of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India from time to time. The selected candidate shall have no claim for appointment against any permanent Government job.
• The selected candidate may be terminated on grounds of non-performance or indiscipline conduct at any time without any prior notice.
• No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• Canvassing directly or indirectly shall disqualify a candidate.
• The undersigned reserves the right to cancel, alter or modify the advertisement or other terms and conditions without any prior notice.
