Selection Process

• Competitive Written Examination: OMR/CBT based, objective type, bilingual (English/Hindi except English language questions)

Written Examination Pattern

+
• Paper-I (1 hour): Mental Ability Test — 50 questions, 100 marks (2 marks each), No negative marking
+
• Paper-II (30 minutes): General Awareness (25 Q, 75 marks) + English Language (25 Q, 75 marks); 1 negative mark per wrong answer
+
• Paper-III (1 hour): Concerned Subject — 50 questions, 150 marks (3 marks each); 1 negative mark per wrong answer
+
• Paper-II and III evaluated only for candidates qualifying Paper-I threshold
+
• Final merit based on Paper-II and Paper-III marks only

Essential Qualification

SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, minimum 55% marks, and ITI certificate or national/state trade certificate in ELECTRONICS MECHANIC / INSTRUMENT MECHANIC from a recognized institution. Or SSC/10th with 55% marks + 2 years full-time apprentice trainee experience. Or SSC/10th with 55% marks + 3 years work experience in a Ministry/Department/Organization/PSU/Autonomous Body under Government of India/State/UT.

Desirable Experience

Proficiency in repairing and maintaining electronic equipment, circuits, and systems; Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic faults; Familiarity with multi-meters, circuit/tong tester etc.; PCB making; soldering of components; precision wiring, cable routing; testing of components; Motor wiring and testing; sensor wiring and testing; Programming of embedded boards/microcontrollers; Basic knowledge of computer systems and software used in electronic diagnostics and testing; Team work ability; Ability to perform hard work in physically demanding conditions during field trials.
