- First class Master's degree in Botany / Forestry / Remote Sensing & GIS / Ecology / Environmental Science / Life Science or relevant discipline from a recognised university
- JRF requires NET (as per norms); candidates without NET may be considered as Junior Project Fellow at Rs.24,000 per month
- Desirable: experience in vegetation survey, plant identification and database management; spatial analysis and report writing; forest inventories or RS & GIS work in the Himalaya; working experience in the Himalayan region preferred

- Project: Inventorization of Taxonomic Diversity, Habitat Mapping, Conservation and Livelihood Linkages of the Aroid Flora in the Eastern Himalaya and Northeast India
