- Chief Engineer: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Civil Engineering with minimum 50% marks; at least 22 years of experience in planning, designing, organizing and controlling civil infrastructure in handling at least 5 civil construction projects; M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc (Eng.) in Civil Engineering desirable.
- Superintending Engineer: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Civil Engineering with minimum 50% marks; at least 20 years of relevant civil infrastructure experience in at least 5 projects; M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc (Eng.) desirable.

Footwear Design & Development Institute Salary / Pay Scale 2026
Chief Engineer – minimum monthly CTI Rs. 1,50,000/-; Superintending Engineer – minimum monthly CTI Rs. 1,20,000/-. CTI includes Basic pay, HRA, Special Allowance, PF, Leave Encashment, LTC, mobile/medical reimbursement and Gratuity.
