Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in respective discipline (4-year after 10+2, or 3-year lateral entry after Diploma) with minimum 65% marks (60% for SC/ST).
- Research Engineer: B.E./B.Tech Mechanical + 5 yrs relevant experience OR M.E./M.Tech (Thermal & Fluid/ Fluid Mechanics) + 3 yrs relevant experience.
- Freshers may apply for Junior Research Engineer; candidates awaiting final results may apply subject to uploading marksheets by 31.08.2026.
Age Limit
As on 24.08.2026: Research Engineer max 35 (UR)/38 (OBC)/40 (SC); Junior Research Engineer max 30 (UR/EWS)/33 (OBC)/35 (SC/ST). Relaxation up to 5 years for regular Govt/Central Autonomous/PSU employees.
Salary / Emoluments
Research Engineer: Level 10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500), min gross ~Rs. 1,01,130. Junior Research Engineer: Level 8 (Rs. 47,600-1,51,100), min gross ~Rs. 83,800. Plus NPS, gratuity, medical reimbursement, TA/DA, leave benefits.
Selection Process
Three stages: screening, written test (online MCQ, for JRE only), and interview. Final rank for JRE based on written test and interview in 80:20 ratio; RE selected on interview.
