Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Pandeypur, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) invites eligible candidates for walk-in interviews for appointment to teaching faculty posts on a contract basis for one year, extendable up to three years, in various disciplines. Eligibility Criteria

• Age (as on the date of interview): not exceeding 69 years for teaching faculty and up to 45 years for Senior Residents. The maximum tenure of engagement is till 70 years of age or the end of the contract, whichever is earlier.
• Educational qualifications: as per NMC (MCI) guidelines stipulated in Gazette Notification No. CG-DL-E-05072025-264399 dated 30.06.2025, with the prescribed teaching and research experience for each post.
• Candidate must hold updated registration with the NMC / State Medical Council; candidates who have applied for registration must show proof of application at the time of interview.
• EWS candidates must submit an EWS certificate in the GoI DoPT format (OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019); OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must be issued not earlier than one year from the date of interview.
• Candidates working in Government / Autonomous / Statutory institutions should preferably bring a No Objection Certificate from the employer.

Age Relaxation

As per Government of India rules. Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) is maintained as per GoI norms.

Pay and Allowances

• Professor: fixed basic pay ₹1,23,100 plus other admissible allowances
• Associate Professor: fixed basic pay ₹78,800 plus other admissible allowances
• Assistant Professor: fixed basic pay ₹67,700 plus other admissible allowances
• Senior Resident: fixed basic pay ₹67,700 plus other admissible allowances

Pay and allowances are as per OM No. Z-11012/51/2022-Med VI dated 08.12.2022. Retired employees / pensioners may draw total pay without deduction, as this is not a case of re-employment under the CCS (Fixation of Pay of Re-Employed Pensioners) Orders, 1986.

Application Fee

The fee is payable through a Demand Draft in favour of ESIC Fund A/c No.1, payable at Varanasi. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

How to Apply

1. Download and fill the prescribed application format given in the advertisement; one application must be submitted for each post separately.
2. Send a scanned copy of the completed application form with supporting documents by e-mail to [email protected] before appearing for the interview.
3. Carry the original application form, all original documents and the original Demand Draft (if applicable) on the day of the interview for verification.
4. Applications in any other format or incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

• Valid EWS / OBC / EBC / SC / ST certificate in the format prescribed for central government jobs, where applicable
• Updated State / NMC medical registration certificate
• Proof of publications and paper / poster presentations
• Experience certificates
• Recent passport-size photograph and Aadhaar card
• Relieving certificate from the previous employer, if applicable
• Completion certificate of ICMR / NMC conducted biomedical research examination, if any
• NMC revised / basic medical education workshop completion certificate, if any

Selection Procedure

• Selection is based on academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
• Results will be displayed on www.esic.gov.in and offer letters will be sent by e-mail.
• Selected candidates must join as per the instructions in the offer of appointment.

Terms and Conditions

• Engagement is for one year or till attainment of 70 years of age, whichever is earlier, and may be extended up to three years.
• The contract may be terminated or discontinued by either side with one month's prior notice; in case of spot resignation, one month's salary must be deposited to the ESIC account through challan.
• No service benefits such as PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, seniority or promotion are admissible.
• Absence from work beyond seven days without permission of the competent authority amounts to voluntary abandonment and automatic termination.
• No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC Medical College, Pandeypur, Varanasi.
• Attendance must be marked manually and on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily.
• Wrong declarations or submission of false information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.
• The Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Pandeypur, Varanasi reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment process at any stage.
