Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Model Hospital, Katha, Baddi (District Solan, Himachal Pradesh) will hold a walk-in interview on 28 October 2026 (Wednesday) for contractual posts of Senior Resident, Full Time/Part Time Specialist, Part Time/Full Time Super Specialist (Cardiology) and Senior Resident (against GDMO). Reporting time 09:00 to 11:00 AM; interview from 10:00 AM.

Eligibility

• Specialist: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university with 03 years' experience after the PG Degree, or 05 years' experience after the Diploma. Age less than 69 years as on the date of interview.
• Senior Resident: PG Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university. Non-PG candidates need 02 years of experience in the concerned department. Age not exceeding 45 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH as per rules).
• Super Specialist (Cardiology): Post-graduate qualification in the concerned specialty, registration with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council, and DM/M.Ch in the concerned super specialty. Age not exceeding 69 years.
• Senior Resident (against GDMO): PG Degree/Diploma or MBBS from a recognised university with at least 02 years' working experience in the same discipline.

Emoluments

As per Central Government rules adopted by ESIC, on a "no work no pay" basis. Super Specialist remuneration is consolidated as per ESIC Headquarters F.No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med IV (Pt File) dated 13.04.2022 and U-13/14/38/2020-Med-I(ESIC/SC) dated 02.02.2021. The advertisement does not state any amount.

How to Apply

• Submit the prescribed application form (attached to the advertisement) to the office of the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Baddi, on 28.10.2026 between 09:00 and 11:00 AM, and appear for the interview.
• Bring the originals and one set of self-attested photocopies of age, qualification, category and experience documents, MCI/State Medical Council registration, and two recent passport-size photographs.

Documents Required

4. Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC (OBC certificate in the Central Government proforma, not more than one year old as on the date of interview).
5. PG Degree/Diploma/DM/M.Ch certificate.
6. State Medical Council/MCI registration certificate with MS/MD/DNB (Senior Resident and Specialist) and DM (Super Specialist) qualification.
7. No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if applicable.
8. Experience certificate, if applicable.
9. For EWS: income and asset certificate from the issuing authority as per DOPT letter No. 36039/1/2019-ESTT.(Res) dated 31.01.2019.

Terms and Conditions

• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview or for joining.
• On selection, a security deposit of Rs 50,000 by demand draft in favour of "ESIC Fund Account No. 1", payable at Baddi, must be paid at the time of joining; it is refundable after successful completion of the contract against a "No dues certificate".
• The candidate must execute an agreement with the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Baddi, on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 100, the cost of which is borne by the candidate.
• The engagement is purely contractual and confers no right to regular appointment or absorption in ESIC, and no claim to PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, seniority, promotion or leave. Hostel accommodation, quarters and uniform are not provided.
• The selected specialist must hold a professional indemnity policy covering the period desired by ESIC. Minimum sum assured per annum: Rs 30 lakh (anaesthesiologists, cardiac surgeons, neuro surgeons, plastic surgeons etc.); Rs 20 lakh (general surgeons, gynaecologists, obstetricians etc.); Rs 10 lakh (physicians, dentists, radiologists, pathologists, chest/pulmonologists etc.). A copy of the policy and premium receipt must be submitted within 07 days of engagement.
• Part-time specialists must work a minimum of 16 hours per week and are not entitled to any leave.
• Absence from duty for 15 days without the permission of the competent authority amounts to voluntary abandonment of the contractual engagement.
• Vacancies may increase or decrease depending on the requirement at the time of interview. The competent authority may fill or not fill any post without assigning reasons.
• Note: accreditation with NBEMS for DNB courses at ESIC MH Baddi is under process.
