ECoR GDCE 2026 Notification – 1421 Posts
The East Coast Railway (ECoR), Personnel Department / Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar has issued Notification No. ECoR/Pers/RRC-GDCE/2026 dated 07.08.2026 for the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) 2026 to fill 25% of the net Direct Recruitment Quota vacancies in Safety/Non-Safety category posts. The GDCE is open to regular and eligible employees (except RPF/RPSF) having lien in East Coast Railway (including erstwhile Waltair Division/SCoR).

Selection Process
Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Aptitude Test / Typing Skill Test (wherever applicable), Document Verification and Medical Examination. There shall be negative marking of 1/3rd mark for each wrong answer in CBT (no negative marking in Computer Based Aptitude Test - CBAT).
- ALP: CBT (120 min, 100 Qs) + CBAT
- Station Master: CBT (90 min, 120 Qs) + CBAT
- Goods Trains Manager: CBT (90 min, 120 Qs)
- Junior Engineer: CBT (120 min, 150 Qs)
- Technicians (Gr III): CBT (90 min, 100 Qs)
- Junior Clerk cum Typist: CBT (90 min, 120 Qs) + Computer Based Typing Skill Test (30 WPM English / 25 WPM Hindi)
- Commercial Clerk cum Ticket Collector: CBT (90 min, 120 Qs)
Minimum qualifying marks: UR 40%, OBC 30%, SC 30%, ST 25% (relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD in case of shortage).
