Eligibility & Domain
- Officers / officials who have retired from Central / State Government, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, Universities or Government R&D organisations and possessing practical knowledge and experience in the field applied for.
- Persons with experience of having worked with DRDO would be given preference during selection / appointment.
- Should have effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a strong flair for in-depth examination of his / her areas of work.
- Domain: development and testing of anti-vibration mounts, including composite / magnetorheological (MR) / shear thickening fluid (STF) based mounts; characterisation, technical documentation, installation and ToT; conducting of TAC and CEC; preparation of technical specification & ATP. Desirable: M.Sc in Chemistry / Materials Science; NPTEL course in Composite Manufacturing; experience in composite fabrication, testing in UTM / DSC / TGA / DMA / FTIR and vibration shaker testing.
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit for all categories of retired Government employees for applying is 63 years as on the closing date of application.
- No retired Government servant shall be eligible for appointment as Consultant unless there is a gap of fifteen (15) days between his / her retirement and appointment as Consultant.

- Consultants are not entitled to any other allowance / benefit such as Dearness Allowance, transport facility, residential accommodation, personal staff, CGHS or medical reimbursement. However, for official travel inside the country, TA / DA is admissible at the rate commensurate with the Grade Pay / Pay Level from which the official retired.
- A retired Government official appointed as a Consultant shall continue to draw pension and dearness relief on pension during the engagement; the engagement shall not be construed as a case of re-employment.
