Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad, a premier laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) engaged in the R&D of advanced missile technologies, invites applications from Indian citizens (through walk-in interview) for paid internships of 6 months duration (Advt No. DRDL/HRD/INTERNSHIP/2026/01).

Location: DRDL / ASL / CAS, Hyderabad. Vacancies are indicative and may increase or decrease at the discretion of the establishment.
Eligibility
- Candidates pursuing the final year of Undergraduate (Engineering) or Postgraduate (Engineering / Physical Science) full-time course in the respective discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institute.
- Minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (average of completed semesters/years) in the pursuing course from AICTE/UGC approved universities.
- Age Limit: Below 28 years.
- The Principal/Director of the institution should provide a request letter for highly deserving meritorious students only.
Stipend & Attendance
- Stipend of Rs. 5,000/- per month, paid in two installments (first installment after 03 months of training).
- Minimum 15 working days per month of physical attendance at DRDL/ASL/CAS is required for stipend eligibility and retention.
- No payment is made if the student does not complete a minimum tenure of 03 months.
- No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible; subsidized canteen facility is available.
Selection Process
- Walk-in applications submitted at the registration desk with the envelope superscribed "Application for Paid Internship" along with the Branch Code.
- Shortlisting on the basis of Interaction / Interview and percentage of marks (CGPA converted to percentage).
- Selection is based entirely on merit; shortlisted students will be notified about joining procedures.
- Selected students must bring a Character Certificate from their college and police verification certificate.

Documents Required at the Time of Joining
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities on college letterhead (in original).
- Police verification from the local police station (acknowledgement to be submitted).
- Undertaking for adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923.
- Indemnity bond to be filled by the student and the head of the institution.
