No. DMSRDE(HRD)/Paid Internship/2026/02. Applications are open to final-year Engineering/Science UG & PG students, latest by 28 Sep 2026, 17:00 hrs.

Eligibility Criteria
- Final-year students pursuing Under-Graduation (B.Tech/BE, 7th/8th semester) or Post-Graduation (M.Tech/ME, 1st/2nd year) in Engineering, or M.Sc (final year) in Science.
- Full-time course in the respective discipline from a recognised Indian University/Institute.
- Good academic record with 65% and above marks (or CGPA 6.5 and above) from an AICTE/UGC-approved College/University.
- Age: below 28 years as on 28 Sep 2026.

Selection Process
Selection is strictly on merit, based on CGPA / online interview / interaction, subject to satisfactory verification of documents. The Dean/HOD/Director/Principal of the institution must send a request letter for its highly deserving meritorious students. Selected candidates will be intimated only through the email ID mentioned in the application. Incomplete, erroneous or late applications will be rejected.
Stipend & Terms
- Stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month for 06 months, paid in two instalments (after 03 months and on completion of 06 months) directly into the student bank account.
- Stipend is payable only if the student is present at the lab for a minimum of 15 working days per month.
- Completion certificate is awarded on successful completion (project evaluation, report submission and other formalities).
- No boarding or lodging expenses; DMSRDE does not provide accommodation. No leave except sick leave.
- DRDO/DMSRDE has no obligation to offer employment, and no intern can claim any right of employment.
How to Apply
- Download and fill the application form (page 01 of the advertisement) and attach the request letter from the Institute/University, Undertaking of the Indian Official Secrets Act & IT Rules, high school marksheet, all previous marksheets, photo identity card copy and student bio-data.
- Email an advance copy of the application with all documents to director.dmsrde@gov.in on or before 28 Sep 2026.
- Send the hard copy of the relevant documents by Speed Post / by hand to The Director, DMSRDE, DRDO, GT Road, Kanpur - 208013. On top of the envelope clearly write "Application for Paid Internship" and the Branch Code.
