The Defence Bioengineering and Electromedical Laboratory (DEBEL), Bengaluru, a premier laboratory of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, invites applications from young and meritorious Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Advt No. DEBEL/HRD/1/JRF-1/2026. Selection will be made on the basis of screening and interview.

Tenure
- JRF is initially awarded for a period of 02 (two) years.
- May be upgraded as Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for the 3rd year, and further extended for one more year (4th year) based on performance.
Age Limit
- Upper age limit: maximum 28 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
- Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection Procedure
- Applications are screened by a Screening Committee; shortlisted candidates are called for interview (date to be intimated).
- GATE paper and subjects of the qualifying degree must be related to the discipline applied for; working experience in the subject area is preferred.
- A written test (screening) may be conducted to shortlist candidates depending on the number of applicants; interview may continue to the next day.
- Interview venue: Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) campus (entry through ADE Raman Gate, Bengaluru). Electronic items/mobile phones are strictly not allowed inside the campus.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining.
- Govt./PSU/autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel and produce NOC at the time of interview.
