District Mission Management Unit (DMMU), WBSRLM & District Rural Development Cell, Birbhum, Suri, Birbhum (West Bengal), invites applications from eligible intending candidates for empanelment as Block Level Mentors for the Enterprise Finance scheme under the District Mission Management Unit (DMMU), Birbhum. Notice Memo No. 3289/111-93/DMMU/Birbhum dated 05.10.2026, issued under Reference Memo No. 817/PRD-15098/1/2023-DRLM dated 05.07.2024 of the Joint Secretary, P&RD Department & ACEO, WBSRLM.

28 Block Level Mentors are to be empanelled across 19 blocks of Birbhum district, as shown in the position details table.

• Applications accepted at the Block Office on any working day between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM (in the drop box).

Eligibility criteria

• Age – between 25 and 45 years as on 01.01.2026.
• Educational qualification – Graduate and above from a recognised University.
• Technical qualification – Diploma and above in Computer Application.
• Residence – must be a permanent resident of the block for which the application is made.
• The applicant must be a valid/registered voter as per the current electoral roll.

Who is eligible

• Ex-banker and empanelled BRP from public or private sector banks who have at least 5–7 years of relevant field experience in the micro or small enterprise segment in rural areas.
• Empanelled block/district level trainers (DLTs/BLTs), Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, MBA holders, and graduates who are conversant with the functioning of banks for micro-enterprise loans.
• Active women SHG member for the last 3 years in the same block from the date of issue of the notice.

Mode of selection

• Written Test (MCQ based) – 60 marks. Topics: General Knowledge, English & Mathematics of Class X standard, Reasoning, Current Affairs, NRLM concept, etc.
• Computer Test – 30 marks. Topics: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
• Personal Interview – 10 marks.

Honorarium

Honorarium and job responsibilities of the Mentor shall be as per Reference Memo No. 817/PRD-15098/1/2023-DRLM dated 05.07.2024 of the Joint Secretary, P&RD Department & ACEO, WBSRLM, and the guidelines of the West Bengal State Rural Livelihood Mission, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of West Bengal, enclosed with the notice.

How to apply

• Applications must be submitted only as per the prescribed format attached to the notice.
• Candidates must attach self-attested copies of testimonials relevant to their educational qualification, computer certificate and experience. The application form must be filled on the basis of facts, which the candidate will have to substantiate with documentary evidence (in original) during the selection process, failing which the candidature is liable to be cancelled.
• Applications are to be submitted to the respective Block Office under Birbhum District (at NRLM Section) on any working day between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, in the drop box.
• The application form is available on the Birbhum District website (birbhum.gov.in), at all Gram Panchayat Offices and Sangha Samabay Offices of SHGs under Birbhum District, at all Block Offices under Birbhum District (NRLM Section), and at the Office of the Additional District Mission Director, DMMU, Suri, Birbhum.

Other conditions

• There is no application fee.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the Computer Practical Test and walk-in interview.
• In case of non-performance, rude behaviour, misconduct or any other unsatisfactory conduct, the engagement of the Mentor may be terminated or discontinued by the competent authority.
