The Office of the District Medical & Health Officer cum Member Secretary, District AYUSH Society, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat invites applications from eligible candidates who are citizens of Meghalaya for the following posts, on contractual basis for a period of 11 months, which may be renewable. The posts are for the implementation of AYUSH Public Health Programmes under the National AYUSH Mission. Advertisement dated 13.10.2026.

9 posts are advertised in all – 5 Ayush Medical Officers, 2 Yoga Professionals and 2 Pharmacists – with posting at Mawkyrwat and Ranikor Block. The post-wise numbers, qualifications and fixed remuneration are given in the position details table on this page.

Age and eligibility

• Upper age limit – 32 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, as per Office Memorandum No. Mo.PER.38/2021/30 dated 03.02.2022.
• Candidates must be citizens of Meghalaya.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted in the standard form with all relevant certificates, that is, self-attested photo copies of all academic and professional qualifications, proof of date of birth, SC/ST certificate and passport-size photographs duly attested, along with current contact details (address, mobile number and email address).

Completed applications must be submitted at the 10-Bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital, Mawkyrwat, on or before 30.10.2026 up to 5:00 PM. No application will be accepted after this date.

Applications must contain, in the following order – (i) standard form with a passport-size photograph duly attested; (ii) self-attested photocopies of all academic and professional qualifications; (iii) proof of date of birth; (iv) SC/ST certificate.

No TA/DA will be paid to applicants for attending the written test or personal interview, and all relevant certificates and testimonials must be produced in original at the time of interview. Mobile phones and smart watches will not be allowed in the examination hall.

Other conditions

• The applicant will be fully responsible for the accuracy of the information furnished. Any information found wrong at any stage will result in disqualification of the candidate and/or dismissal of services at any stage.
• Selection will be through a written test or personal interview; the date for shortlisted candidates will be intimated separately.
• The engagement is on a contractual basis for 11 months and may be renewable.
