DLSA Sheohar Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) Recruitment 2026 – 100 Posts (Honorarium Rs.750/Day) | Apply by 30 Nov

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Sheohar (Sheohar Nyayamandal, Bihar) has invited applications for the appointment of 100 Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) (number may vary as per requirement). Note: this is NOT an appointment to any government post.

Who Can Apply

Any person (transgender/male/female) who, without any financial interest, takes interest in the upliftment of the weak and disadvantaged sections of society and wishes to work for them — including teachers (including retired teachers), retired government servants, senior citizens, Anganwadi workers, doctors, students, members of NGOs and clubs, NSS/NCC self-help groups, alumni associations and other persons (except those dismissed from judicial service) — who have an interest in volunteer work and are well known to the DLSA. Previously selected PLVs may also re-apply; they will be given preference.

General Instructions / Eligibility

1. Must be a citizen of India.
2. Physically and mentally healthy.
3. The candidate must be of good character and have an interest in social service.
4. No case pending against the applicant in any court, nor convicted by any court.
5. The applicant must be a permanent native of Sheohar district.

Honorarium

Rs. 750 (Seven Hundred Fifty only) per day — however, this honorarium is payable only for those specific days on which the Legal Services Authority entrusts the PLV with any special work, or the volunteer takes a person from the village for legal aid to the Legal Services Authority or ADR centre, or actively participates in organizing legal awareness camps in their area.

Duties of Para Legal Volunteers

Acting as a bridge between victims and the District Legal Services Authority for legal awareness and legal aid in their area; working in the Authority's management office and legal aid centres; or any other work assigned by the DLSA office.

• Applications will be accepted during office hours from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; last date: 30 November 2026.
