DLSA Nagaon Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) Recruitment 2026 – Apply by 25 Aug

Office of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nagaon (Assam) has invited applications from local residents to work as Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) at Nagaon District. PLVs help poor and weaker sections of society get legal help and justice. Applications must reach the DLSA office on or before 25.08.2026 (5:00 PM).

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be an Indian citizen and a local resident of Nagaon.
• Must have passed minimum matriculation (10th pass) with the ability to understand and assist people in need.
• Minimum age: 21 years as on the date of notice.
• PLVs can be selected from: Teachers (including retired), Retired Govt. Servants, Senior Citizens, MSW Students & Teachers, Anganwadi Workers, Doctors, Students & Law Students, Non-political NGO members, Self Help Group / Women Neighbourhood Group members, Social Workers, persons from defence background or their family members, or any other person found suitable by the DLSA.
• Preference: Candidates with 4-wheeler driving and computer (MS Office) proficiency.

Salary / Remuneration

No fixed salary. PLVs receive honorarium as fixed from time to time, as per rules.

How to Apply

1. Fill the application form in the standard format along with two passport size photographs.
2. Send it in a sealed envelope addressed to "The District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Nagaon, Assam, PIN-782001".
3. Deposit the envelope in the "DROP BOX" provided at the District & Sessions Judges' Court, 4th Floor, Judicial Court Building, Nagaon.
4. Submit the application with self-attested documents and your mobile number.
5. Incomplete applications will be rejected. No application will be entertained after the last date.

Important Points

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for viva-voce / interview. The list will be uploaded on the official website of Nagaon Judiciary and on the notice board.
• No separate call letter will be issued.
• No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
• Present PLVs of DLSA Nagaon must apply afresh; applying afresh does not guarantee selection.
• The decision of the Selection Committee and the Chairman, DLSA Nagaon shall be final and binding.
• Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify the candidate.
