District & Sessions Judge, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar – Clerk (Adhoc) Recruitment 2026

Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Punjab) invites applications on the prescribed proforma, along with self-attested copies of testimonials and two recent passport-size photographs duly signed by the candidate with complete bio-data, for filling up 13 (thirteen) vacant posts of Clerk on adhoc basis for a period of six months or till regular appointments are made by the Hon’ble High Court, whichever is earlier.

The number of posts may be increased or decreased due to administrative exigency.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: (1) Degree (B.A./B.Sc or equivalent) from a recognised university. (2) Must have passed Punjabi language as a subject in the Matriculation examination. (3) Should have proficiency in operation of computer.
• Age Limit: 18 to 37 years as on 01.08.2026. Relaxation in age to reserved categories as per rules is admissible.

Selection Process

• Written Test: English Composition (50 marks, 2 hours) and General Knowledge (50 marks, 2 hours). Qualifying criteria: 33% marks in each subject, but no candidate shall be considered for appointment unless he/she obtains 40% marks in the aggregate of both subjects.
• Computer Proficiency Test: Out of the candidates who qualify the written test, ten times (10×) of advertised posts shall be called for Computer Proficiency Test / Computer Typing test in English at the speed of 30 W.P.M.

How to Apply

• Application on prescribed proforma with self-attested copies of testimonials and two recent passport-size photographs (duly signed by the candidate) along with complete bio-data.
• The application form, duly filled in, shall be sealed in an envelope and reach the undersigned on or before 13.08.2026 (before 05:00 P.M.).
• Incomplete applications and those received after 05:00 P.M. shall be rejected without assigning any reason. The office shall not be responsible for any postal delay or wrong delivery.
• Application Fee: Nil / No application fee.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the test/interview.
