District Judge, Mayurbhanj (Baripada) – Judicial Staff Recruitment 2026
Office of the District Judge, Mayurbhanj, Baripada has issued Advertisement No. 02/2026 (dated 07/08/2026) inviting applications in the prescribed “Form A” for filling up Group-C vacant posts in the Judgeship of Mayurbhanj for the recruitment year 2026. The posts are to be filled up on a regular basis in accordance with the Odisha District and Civil Courts’ Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008, amended up to 2026, subject to the result of W.P.(C) No. 1273 of 2014 pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Orissa, Cuttack.

Eligibility Criteria
A. For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Junior Typist & Grade-III Stenographer
- Citizen of India.
- Passed at least +3 Examination (Higher Secondary) or equivalent from a recognised university.
- Passed at least Diploma in Computer Application from a recognised institute.
- Age: 18 to 42 years as on 07.09.2026 (upper age relaxable for reserved categories as per rules).
- Must be able to speak, read and write Odia and must have passed a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. Standard.
- Minimum speed: 80 words/min in shorthand + 40 words/min in typing (for Stenographer); 40 words/min in typing (for Junior Typist).
- Of good character and sound health.
B. For Salaried Amin
- Citizen of India.
- Passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board, AND passed Revenue Inspector Training.
- Operating knowledge of Computer.
- Age: 18 to 42 years as on 07.09.2026.
- Same Odia, character, health and marital status requirements as above.
Selection Process
- Part-I (Written Test): English (qualifying), Arithmetic/GK/Survey & Settlement as per post — minimum 35% in each paper for UR/SEBC; 30% for SC/ST.
- Part-II (Practical Test): Computer Science (Practical) for all posts; Shorthand/Typing skill test for Stenographer & Typist; Survey & Settlement (Practical) for Amin.
- Part-III (Viva-Voce): 35 marks for Clerical posts; 35 marks for Stenographer & Typist; 30 marks for Amin.
- Candidates who qualify Part-I are called for Part-II; those who qualify Part-II are called for Viva-Voce. A merit list shall be prepared as per Rule-7 of the ODCJSS Rules, 2008.

- Diploma in Computer Application certificate.
- Shorthand / Typewriting course certificates (for Stenographer / Typist).
- Revenue Inspector Training certificate (for Salaried Amin).
- Odia M.E. Standard passing certificate.
- TWO Character Certificates from Gazetted Officers / Medical Practitioners / Sarpanch.
- Three passport-size self-attested photographs.
- Three self-addressed stamped envelopes (Rs. 60 each) for call letter dispatch.
- Caste certificate (SC/ST/SEBC), PwD certificate, Sports / Ex-Serviceman certificate (if applicable).
- Employment Exchange Registration Card.
- NOC from competent authority (for Government employees).
- Conversion certificate (if marks awarded in Grades instead of percentage).
