Eligibility
- Junior Assistant: Bachelor's degree + computer skills for data handling and English drafting.
- Forester-I: Bachelor's degree; physical standards (height 163 cm general / 153 cm hill & plain tribes; chest 79 cm normal / 84 cm expanded).
- Forest Guard: HSSLC (10+2) or equivalent; physical standards as prescribed.
- Grade IV: Minimum Class VIII pass.
- Age 18 to 40 years as on 31-12-2026; SC/ST relaxation 5 years, ex-servicemen 2 years, PwD up to 50 years.
Selection: Written test (General Arithmetic, English, General Knowledge) followed by a physical test (26 km walk for male / 16 km for female in 4 hours) for Forester-I/Forest Guard, computer/typing test for Junior Assistant, and oral test as applicable.
How to apply: Submit the Standard Form (Assam Gazette Part IX) with a ₹10 Court Fee Stamp, two photographs and self-attested documents to the Divisional Forest Officer, Dima Hasao Forest Division (East/West), Haflong, or Southern Afforestation Division, Haflong, by 30-11-2026 during office hours. Applications by post will not be accepted.
