Overview:

The Senior Cloud cum DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a secure, scalable, and high-availability cloud infrastructure for the Vande Mataram Project. The role involves establishing robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and performance of high-traffic citizen engagement modules, and maintaining operational excellence across all environments (development, staging, and production). The candidate will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, security compliance, and efficient infrastructure utilization.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS
2. Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, and AWS Code Pipeline for efficient release management
3. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
4. Manage containerization and orchestration of microservices using Docker and ECS/EKS
5. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms using ELK Stack, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, and related tools
6. Ensure robust infrastructure security through IAM policies, secure VPC configurations, firewall rules, and encryption mechanisms
7. Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline build, deployment, and release processes
8. Manage and optimize AWS services including API Gateway, ELB, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, and S3
9. Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with version-controlled repositories
10. Perform regular performance tuning, cost optimization, and disaster recovery planning and testing
11. Ensure high availability and reliability of services with proactive monitoring and incident management
12. Support log analysis, security incident response, and rollback strategies during deployments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps roles
• AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI Certified DevOps Engineer / AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI Certified Solutions Architect
• Experience in large-scale government or citizen-facing digital platforms (preferably under Digital India initiatives) will be an added advantage

Preferred Skills:

• Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, ELB, and API Gateway
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, AWS Code Pipeline, and Docker
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and ECS/EKS
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools including ELK Stack, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Understanding of networking concepts, DNS, CDN, and load balancing on AWS
• Strong grasp of security practices including IAM, encryption standards (AES-256), Key Management Services (KMS), JWT, and Keycloak
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ), caching strategies, and multi-tier architectures
• Scripting capabilities in Bash, Python, or Shell for automation
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control systems, branching strategies, and release workflows

Consolidated Remuneration:

• Consolidated remuneration shall be commensurate with qualifications and experience within the approved project norms.
