RA/SRF/JRF/PA RECRUITMENT – CALL FOR APPLICATION

The Department of Electronics Engineering of this Institute is looking for young Scientists/Engineers for the positions of SRF/JRF/PA to work under DRDO sponsored research project entitled "FxxN".

DETAILS OF POSTS:

1. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) – 01 Post
Essential: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Electronics/E&C/EEE/Aerospace with First Division with NET/GATE OR M.E./M.Tech in Radar System/Communication/Microwave Engg/RF Systems & Antenna with First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level. Minimum 02 years of research/teaching/industrial experience in relevant fields.
Upper Age Limit: Not to exceed 30 years.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 42,000/- (Consolidated)

2. JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) – 01 Post
Essential: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. with First Division with NET/GATE OR M.E./M.Tech in First Division both at Graduate & Post Graduate level.
Upper Age Limit: Not to exceed 28 years.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 37,000/- (Consolidated)

3. PROJECT ASSOCIATE (PA) – 01 Post
Essential: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. with First Division.
Upper Age Limit: Not to exceed 28 years.
Monthly Stipend: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 28,000/- per month, based on experience.

SPECIALIZATION: Radar Signal Processing, Array Signal Processing, AI/Image Processing, Signal Processing, Electronics, Radar Signal Processing, Array Signal Processing.

DESIRABLE:
- Strong hands-on design knowledge in (a) CST Studio/HFSS, (b) MATLAB with radar/IP tools, (c) VHDL/IP-core/SDK for real-time DSP/RSP, (d) SDR based system design, (e) Micro controls/processor, (f) Raspberry Pi, (g) Python for AI design and image processing.
- Familiar with RF instruments and advanced FPGA/SDR/Microprocessor platforms.

TENURE: The position is purely temporary for 06 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.

NOTES:
1. The advertisement is valid for three months from the date of publication (31 Aug 2026). During the validity of this advertisement, the interview/recruitment process is as follows:
a) Once in every 15 days, the applications will be shortlisted.
b) Shortlisted candidates will be informed and subsequently interview will be conducted.
c) Upon recruiting the project staff, if any, the vacancy will be reduced accordingly.
d) The date of interview will be considered for determining the upper age limit. Upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST, Women & PwBD and 03 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.
e) The tenure shall be fixed with the remaining duration of the project (06 months as on date).
f) The date for considering the educational qualifications and/or experience shall be the date of Interview.
g) Recruited Fellows shall be encouraged to register for Ph.D. at this institute through proper channel as per DIAT norms.
h) In addition to the monthly stipend, medical facilities limited to MI Room facilities shall be extended.
i) The mode of interview will be "in-person" or "via video conferencing" whichever is suitable to DIAT.
j) Based on technical requirements, the selected Fellow may be required to visit different establishments for project purposes.
k) Candidates having any national fellowship may also apply.

Based on the suitability for the project, the applicants will be called for an interview (in person or via video conference). The shortlisted candidate will be individually informed via email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Candidates must produce original applications with all necessary educational and supporting documents/project reports/publications etc., at the time of interview.

OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS:
a) Offer of RA/SRF/JRF/PA positions does not confer any right for absorption in DIAT (DU), Pune.
b) The qualification prescribed/experience gained should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions/Industries.
c) The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. In case of a large number of applications, the Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview.
d) Selected candidate is required to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer letter.
