DIAT Pune Faculty Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Indian nationals; appointment to regular posts is on probation for one year
- Upper age is preferably not more than 50 years for Professor, 40 years for Assistant Professor and 65 years for Professor of Practice
- Application fee: Rs.1,000 for General, OBC and EWS candidates, remitted through SBI Collect; exempt for SC/ST/PwBD and women candidates
- Candidates must apply online at diatrec.samarth.edu.in and send the downloaded, signed application with self-attested documents by speed/registered post to the Registrar, DIAT (DU), Girinagar, Pune 411025; applications by e-mail or by hand are not accepted
- A 5% relaxation of marks is available to SC/ST/differently-abled candidates for eligibility and for assessing good academic record
- A waitlist may be kept valid for one year; shortlisted candidates for regular posts may be asked to make a presentation of about 30 minutes
- Persons serving in Government/semi-Government/PSUs/HEIs must apply through proper channel or furnish a No Objection Certificate
- Qualifications must be from UGC/AICTE recognised universities/institutions; CGPA is converted as per the equivalence table in the advertisement
- Reservation follows Government of India rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD; EWS certificate must be issued on or after 1 April 2026

- Assistant Professor (Electronics Engineering, EWS): Ph.D. with a first class at Master's or Bachelor's in E&CE/E&TC/Electronics/Communication Systems/VLSI & ES/Hardware Security/Electronics & Instrumentation/Embedded Systems or related area, plus two years' experience
- Assistant Professor (Electronics Engineering jointly with School of Defence Technology & Management, ST): Ph.D. with first class in the prescribed electronics/communication specialisations and two years' experience
