Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination 2026

High Court of Delhi invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up 27 vacancies (24 existing and 03 anticipated) by way of direct recruitment in Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DHJS) by holding Delhi Higher Judicial Service Examination in three successive stages.

Vacancy Details

Note: 3 out of 5 SC vacancies and 4 out of 5 ST vacancies are backlog reserved vacancies. 3 vacancies are reserved for PwD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India
• For Advocates: Must have been continuously practising as an Advocate for not less than 7 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (15.07.2026)
• For Judicial Officers: Must have completed 7 years in Bar before being recruited to subordinate judicial service OR must have a combined experience of 7 years as a Judicial Officer and an Advocate as on 15.07.2026

Pay Scale

Rs. 1,44,840 - 1,94,660 (Pay Level J-5) per month

Selection Process

The examination will be conducted in three successive stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective type) - 26 July 2026 (11:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
2. Main Examination (Written/Subjective type)
3. Viva Voce (Interview)
