DFCCIL Re-employment of Retired Railway Employees 2026 – 10 Posts (Ambala Unit, Mechanical) | Walk-in 3 Nov

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a schedule 'A' Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, invites applications from retired government employees of Indian Railways for need-based re-employment in its Ambala Unit (Mechanical Department) through walk-in interview. A need-based panel will be formed.

Eligibility Conditions

• Only retired government employees of Indian Railways who worked in the Mechanical Department (C&W / Workshop / Loco Shed) and retired from CDA Scale Level 02 to Level 07 are eligible.
• Only substantive/regular pay level/grade pay will be considered. MACP pay level/grade pay held at the time of retirement will not be considered.
• Retired Indian Railways employees who held the post of SSE and similar categories and retired from Level-08 or Level-09 solely on account of post upgradation shall be treated as equivalent to substantive Level-07 for the purpose of re-employment, and shall be eligible for engagement against Sr. Executive/E1 level posts.
• Age: the re-employed employee is allowed to work up to the maximum age of 65 years. On the date of walk-in interview the age should not exceed 64 years, i.e. one year residual age to attain 65 years should remain available.
• Preference will be given to retired Indian Railways employees with good health.

Remuneration and Service Conditions

• Pay of the re-employed employee is fixed in terms of DFCCIL HR Policy No. 28/2022 dated 22.07.2022, as revised/amended from time to time.
• Conveyance Allowance and Mobile Charges are admissible as per DFCCIL policy; no other allowance is admissible. TA/DA/Lodging on tour is as per extant HR policy.
• The selected candidate will be placed on a panel and re-employed/deployed as per requirement, initially for one year, extendable as per requirement/performance and at the sole discretion of DFCCIL.
• The re-employment can be terminated prematurely with one month's notice by either side.
• Two days' leave per completed month of contract; such leave has no specific nomenclature like CL or EL, and accumulated leave cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year.
• The re-employment does not confer any right for regularization in DFCCIL.
• Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination/health check-up and will be considered for re-employment only if found medically fit.
• No TA/DA/journey expense is payable for appearing in the interview.
• Any dispute regarding re-employment will be under the jurisdiction of the Court in Delhi only.
• Retired employees who earlier worked in DFCCIL in any capacity but were terminated/separated for any reason, or whose extension of re-employment was not granted, will not be considered.

Persons Not Eligible (Vigilance/Govigilance Manual 2012)

• Persons borne on the current "Agreed/Secret" list while in service, or involved in any current Vigilance/CBI case, or against whom disciplinary or prosecution proceedings are in process.
• Persons who have been imposed a major penalty or two or more minor penalties, or against whom administrative action has been taken three times or more.
• Persons against whom one minor penalty and two administrative actions have been taken as a result of Vigilance/CBI action while in Railways.
• Persons against whom a minor penalty or administrative action was taken as a result of Vigilance/CBI action during the preceding 5 years (for serving officers) and last 5 years of service (for retired officers).

How to Apply

• Appear for the walk-in interview on 03.11.2026 between 10:00 and 12:00 hrs at the venue given above with the duly filled prescribed proforma.
• Enclose self-attested photocopies of: PPO (as per 7th CPC), Service Certificate, Last Pay Slip, Aadhaar card, cancelled cheque/copy of bank passbook, and two photographs.
• Bring all original documents — Service Certificate, PPO and others — for verification. Candidates not bringing the documents on the date of interview will not be allowed for interview.
• Proof of identity and residence, last pay slip, two recent passport-size photographs and proof of working experience on the prescribed proforma are also required.
• If any material fact/information is found wilfully suppressed, the candidature will be summarily rejected.
