Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) invites applications on deputation for 18 posts in leadership, tariff, engineering, legal, IT and administrative streams. The posts range from Pay Level 8 to Level 14 and include Secretary, Executive Directors, Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Joint Secretary, Principal Private Secretary, Assistant Director (IT), Assistant Accounts Officer and Personnel Officer. Eligibility

• Applicants must be officers of Central/State/UT Government departments, statutory/autonomous/constitutional/cooperative/local bodies or PSUs under their administrative control.
• The officer must hold an analogous post on a regular basis or have the prescribed years of regular service in the feeder pay level.
• Secretary: graduate degree; analogous post or 2 years in Level 13A, 3 years in Level 13, or 20 years' regular Central/State/UT service with 10 years in Level 12.
• Executive Director (Tariff): PG in Economics/MBA (Finance), or graduate in Electrical/Power Engineering; analogous post or prescribed service in Level 13A/13.
• Executive Director (Engineering): graduate in Electrical/Power Engineering; analogous post or prescribed service in Level 13A/13.
• Executive Director (Law): Law degree; analogous post or prescribed service in Level 13A/13.
• Joint Director (Tariff Finance): PG in Finance/Accountancy/Commerce or CA/ICWA; analogous post or prescribed service.
• Joint Director (Law): Law degree; analogous post or prescribed service in Level 12/11.
• Deputy Director (Tariff Economics): PG in Economics/MBA (Finance); analogous post or prescribed service.
• Deputy Director (Tariff Accounts & Financial Analysis): PG in Accountancy/Finance or CA/ICWA, or organised accounts service; analogous post or prescribed service.
• Deputy Director (Law): Law degree; analogous post or prescribed service.
• Joint Secretary: graduate; analogous post or 3 years in Level 10/5 years in Level 8/8 years in Level 6.
• Deputy Director (Consumer Assistance): graduate with 5 years' power-sector experience in end-user matters; analogous post or prescribed service.
• Principal Private Secretary: graduation and shorthand/stenography experience as per DERC rules; analogous post or prescribed service.
• Deputy Director (Info-Tech): graduate in Computer Science or related field; analogous post or prescribed service.
• Assistant Director (Info-Tech): Engineering graduate in Computer Science/IT or MCA; analogous post or 2 years in Level 7/3 years in Level 6.
• Assistant Accounts Officer: Commerce graduate; 6 years in the Junior Accounts cadre with at least 4 years in accounts.
• Personnel Officer: graduate; analogous post or 6 years in Level 6 in Central/State Government/PSU.
• Maximum age 56 years for deputationists on the last date.

Age Limit

Maximum 56 years as on the last date for submission of application, subject to Central Government/GNCTD guidelines.

Application Fee

No application fee is payable.

Selection Process

Applications will be scrutinised against the eligibility conditions. The Commission may apply stricter shortlisting criteria and call eligible candidates for skill test/interview. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility does not entitle a candidate to be considered. Canvassing in any form is a disqualification.

3. Upload the last three months' salary slips, ITR statements and Form-16 for verification.
4. Submit the undertaking prescribed for Government/PSU/autonomous/statutory/local body employees.
5. Submit the application by 26 October 2026.

Important Instructions

• The consolidated notice covers 18 posts; the Techno-Commercial (8 posts), Administrative (5 posts) and Legal (3 posts) notices provide the detailed eligibility for the respective groups.
• The appointment is on deputation for up to three years in the first instance, extendable/renewable up to six years at the Commission's discretion.
