CUSAT Course In Charge (KMSME) Faculty Recruitment 2026 – Tenure Basis
Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) invites applications from qualified candidates for appointment to the post of Course In Charge on Tenure Basis against the anticipated vacancy at Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering (KMSME) (Ad.F1/Notification of Contract Teachers/2012 (I) dated 22.08.2026).

Qualification
- B.Tech in Marine / Mechanical Engineering / Naval Architecture
- Extra First Class certificate of Competency (MOT)
- 15 years of relevant experience out of which at least 2 years in the position of Chief Engineer OR 5 years experience as Reader in Marine Engineering
- Desirable: Ph.D / M.Tech in Marine Engineering
Other Conditions
- KMSME is a non-vacation department; not eligible for any vacation.
- Unsatisfactory annual performance or violation of University regulations may lead to termination.
- Upon completion of the first tenure, a fresh notification and selection process will be conducted; existing tenure faculty may apply afresh.
- Tenure faculty may be permitted to co-supervise Ph.D. scholars as per University regulations.
- Experience of tenure faculty is currently not counted for appointments/promotions as per existing norms.
- Reservation rules issued by the Government from time to time are applicable.
- All proceedings pursuant to this notification will be subject to the outcome of pending Writ Petitions/Appeals before the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala.

A signed hard copy along with self-attested copies of proof of age, mark lists, degree certificates, specialization proof, publications, experience certificates, awards, CGPA-to-percentage conversion proof, additional qualifications (e.g. UGC-NET) and reservation claims (if any) should reach the Registrar, CUSAT on or before 22/09/2026.
Application Fee
Rs. 950/- for General candidates and Rs. 195/- for SC/ST candidates, remitted online via Net Banking or Debit Cards (Cheque/DD not accepted). Late and defective applications will be summarily rejected.
