Central University of Odisha (CUO), Koraput invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for an interview for Research Assistant (01 post) and Field Investigator (02 posts) under the ICSSR Major Research Project (2025-2026) titled, “Enhancing Tribal and Small holder Rural Livelihoods through Sustainable Agricultural Innovations: A Study of Farming Systems in KBK Districts of Odisha” funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) on tenure (temporary) basis.

Eligibility Criteria
Research Assistant (01 post):
- Ph.D./M.Phil./NET/Post Graduate in any Social Science with minimum of 55% marks.
- Skill in use of Data Science/GIS/SPSS/R.
Field Investigator (02 posts):
- Graduate in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Proficiency (Reading/Writing/Speaking/Translation/Computer) in both English and Odia languages.
- Must be willing to travel for field work, including in rural/interior areas.
- Preference will be given to candidates with 04 years graduation program.
Tenure & Terms
The appointment is purely on a temporary basis and will be governed by the norms as stipulated by the Central University of Odisha for project staff under funded project. The appointment may be terminated at any time before the expiry of the stipulated period without notice and assigning any reason thereof if the work is deemed to be unsatisfactory or completion of the project.
Selection Process
Suitable candidates will be shortlisted for interviews after due scrutiny of CVs. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and candidates will be informed by e-mail only. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining the position.
