Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in Natural Sciences OR Master's Degree in Engineering/Health/Medical Sciences (for Engineering/Health/Medical Sciences, Ph.D. desirable).
- At least 16 years of experience in Research and Development (with focus on translational research) in the areas of activities of the laboratory/Institute/Centre with demonstrated excellence in leadership.
- Creative, innovative and well-recognized scientist/technologist with ability to manage multidisciplinary R&D teams.
Age Limit
45 years or above but not exceeding 56 years. Relaxation possible for exceptionally meritorious candidates with approval of DG, CSIR.
Salary / Emoluments
Level 15 of Pay Matrix (Rs. 1,82,200 – 2,24,100) with allowances as admissible. Appointment for a tenure of six years or till superannuation, whichever is earlier.
Selection Process
Applications/nominations evaluated on merit; candidates should have significant contributions in technology development, IP creation and publications, and demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary R&D teams.
